The Mac OS 8.6 Font Manager contains a bug which can cause a crash when "old style" fonts are used. All corrupt FONT resources created by the Mac OS 8.6 Font Manager bug can be permanently repaired by running Corrupt FONT Fixer once on each of your disks.

The Finder can complain if you have too many items in the top level of a folder and the Mac OS File System cannot access items over 32,768 and higher. The Fat Folder Fixer utility simply moves a user specified number of items (up to 2000) at a time from an overly full (fat) folder to a series of new folders it creates within the fat folder.
